Chai Apple Fizz Cocktail
Nothing says celebration like popping a bottle of bubbly, am I right??
There’s just something so magical about it. The pop of the cap. The fizz of the bubbles. If you know me, you know that I’m an easily excitable person. Give me some cheap confetti and a party hat and I’ll amuse myself for the rest of the afternoon.
So needless to say, champagne has become my go to drink.
This Chai Apple Fizz Cocktail takes all the magic of champagne and brings it together with the wonderful flavors of fall. And it’s made with just 2 ingredients! Champagne. And Chai Apple Shrub.
Okay, so we’ve got the champagne part down. Now, the Chai Apple Shrub...
Last week I posted a recipe for a Chai Apple Shrub. A shrub is a vinegar and fruit based syrup often used in cocktails. Mine was made using apple cider vinegar, apples and Masala Chai tea from Townshend's Tea Company. It’s super easy to make and perfect for fall. It’s juicy and tart with just enough spicy warm flavors to make you want to cozy up on the couch with a good book.
When you combine the two ingredients together you get a light and refreshing cocktail with a touch of fall from the apple and chai flavors. It’s the perfect cocktail for an autumn brunch. Highly suggest with a puff pastry apple tart. It would also pair well with a pumpkin-y dessert.
If you’re feeling fancy, you can coat the rim of your glasses with cinnamon sugar. Moisten the rim of the glass with the Chai Apple Shrub. Then dip your glass upside down in a shallow bowl of granulated sugar and cinnamon. This will add a bolder, sweeter flavor to the drink.
