This unique twist on a chai tea latte adds in pumpkin puree and cacao powder for a super indulgent and cozy fall breakfast drink.
Aaaand hello pumpkin season. Welcome to that special time of year when you endlessly have a half cup of pumpkin in your fridge. This year is like all others for me and that half cup of pumpkin is right on time.
But this year, I think I’ve found the perfect use for that leftover pumpkin. Enter the chocolate pumpkin chai latte.
Pumpkin spice lattes had their moment but I’m pretty sure this bad boy is going to wipe the October classic off the map. This latte combines chai concentrate, cacao powder and pumpkin purée into the coziest breakfast drink. (Alright there’s milk and coconut oil too).
My favorite part about this latte is how ridiculously easy it is. Five ingredients. Toss them in a blender and blend until frothy. Can’t beat that.
Use your favorite chai concentrate to get the ideal sweet & spiciness level. If you want something a little sweeter, I like Tazo Chai Tea Concentrate. If you want something with a little less sugar but full flavor, Third Street Mystic Masala Spice Chai Tea Concentrate is my go to.
Regardless, the cacao and pumpkin will tone down and round out your chai flavors and I promise you… you will not be disappointed.
Top with cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream and hello fall.

Lovely little things:
My friend Nicki Sizemore just released a cookbook! It’s called Build-a-Bowl and it has a bunch of different bowl combos for healthy and creative bowl meals. I just got it from Amazon this week and I can’t wait to dig in and try them out!
I’m trying to be super on top of it with winter coming up and ordered a box of the Traditional Medicinals Seasonal Sampler teas. It’s essentially a variety pack of herbal teas to support different ailments. So there’s “Throat Coat”, “Echinacea Plus Elderberry”, “Breathe Easy”, “Cold Care”. The last thing I want to do when I’m sick is run out to buy tea for my specific ailment, so I figured it would be best to just have this on hand.
