Review: Masala Chai // Firepot Nomadic Teas
So… confession. I had my first chai tea only about a year ago. My sister was exclaiming the wonders of the chai tea latte and I wisely listened to her. But that just goes to show how in many ways I’m still a newbie when it comes to tea. (If you didn’t know, I created this blog as a way to explore the endless flavors and varieties of tea, but I’m not an expert.)
After that magical chai tea latte experience, I was hooked. I absolutely love chai tea. It is spicy, warm, cozy. A chai tea latte is one of my favorite things to get if I'm out at a coffee shop.
Whenever I make chai tea at home though, it always falls a little bit short. I don’t know if it’s because I use loose-leaf tea, but it just isn't quite as full bodied and flavorful as I would like.
Do you guys have the same issue??!
I recently tried this Masala Chai Tea from Firepot Nomadic Teas and it solved all of these problems. It was everything chai tea should be and I couldn't stop drinking.
Instead of a loose-leaf tea, it is a premixed chai concentrate with all the spices and just a touch of sweetness. Just combine the chai concentrate with milk and BOOM! Perfect coffeeshop quality cup of magic.
I've only tried this one blend that Firepot creates, but it was delicious. I couldn’t stop drinking it all throughout December. They also have a Rooibos Chai Tea concentrate which also sounds lovely. Or try my Cozy Almond Rooibos Tea Latte if a cozy rooibos sounds good ;)
In addition, Firepot donates 1% of their sales to support the empowerment of women and preservation of wildlife in tea origins which is fantastic. All their tea is organic free trade.
I received a free sample of Masala Chai Tea from Firepot Nomadic Teas in exchange for an honest review. My views and opinions are 100% my own and are not influenced in any way.
Lovely little things:
- I got a free sample of this Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner and it's freaking magical. I put it on my sad dry lips at night and in the morning the difference is crazy. It's not cheap but if you have really chapped lips or need some extra help for winter, I recommend it.
