Cozy Almond Rooibos Tea Latte
You’ve probably had a latte. And you’ve probably also had a chai latte. BUT, have you ever had an Almond Rooibos Tea Latte?!!
I didn’t think so!
Or maybe you said yes and you’re just way ahead of the game. In that case, good job you. You must be the original hipster.
But for the 98% of you that said no, let me drop some knowledge. Rooibos lattes are the new chai lattes... at least they should be.
You know how you love chai lattes because they’re cozy and cinnamon-y and make you want to wear all of the sweaters? Well, rooibos lattes are just as magical. And this Almond Rooibos Tea Latte is like Harry Potter World at Christmas with matching Weasley sweaters magical.
If you’ve never tried a rooibos tea, let’s start there.
Rooibos is an herbal tea from South Africa. The tea itself is a reddish color and looks sort of like tiny wood splinters. It’s naturally decaffeinated and is often prepared similar to black tea — with cream, sugar etc. Rooibos teas are much less bitter than black or green teas. They have a natural sweetness to them and flavor that is caramel-y, vanilla, earthy, round and slightly like cigars (in a good way? yes.).
I have a feeling if you like bourbon, you would like rooibos tea.
In this latte, I’m using an AMAZING rooibos tea called Alpine Punch from David’s Tea (also sold on Amazon) that screams fall. It has coconut chips, almonds, apple, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, black pepper and rose blossoms. AHHH FALL!
See, I told you it screams fall.
Anyhow, it’s absolutely one of my favorite new teas. It has a really well rounded flavor when brewed into a latte with milk and some maple syrup and vanilla. I highly recommend trying it out in place of your standard chai latte.

Lovely little things
- I just got this denim sleeveless top from Anthropologie which I’m loving. It’s loose but structured. Plus, I really like the idea of doing denim on top and not on bottom. Mix it up.
